Freya & Finn’s Adventures is a storybook, travel guide and cookbook that encourages interactive engagement for the whole family.
Each Adventure is carefully and lovingly designed to create adventurous, confident children who feel happy and excited to try new foods and go to new places.
Spark your children’s imaginations as they visit places like Paris, Barcelona and Venice, along with quick, delicious and easy-to-cook recipes that Little Chefs and Big Chefs can cook together.
There are even step-by-step videos you can follow online!
Children can also test their knowledge with a placemat of fun activities and puzzles relating to the country in the book, which reinforces their learning and makes the whole mealtime be a part of the Freya & Finn Adventure.
Meet Stephen Smit, Creator of Freya & Finn’s Adventures
As a former chef, my culinary journey has spanned the kitchens of Europe and the UK, where I served a wide range of clientele from families to renowned musicians.
But my most important diners have always been my remarkable children.
And it was my belief that the making and sharing of meals brings families together that inspired me to create the Freya & Finn Adventure story books and recipes.
My children – the original Freya & Finn – along with my passion for cooking and travel, are the driving force for everything we do at Freya & Finn’s Adventures.
I taught my own children to cook from scratch, and I want to help you give this lifelong skill to your young ones too.
In collaboration with talented designers, chefs and illustrators, we have crafted fun and taste-filled Adventures designed to bring families together at mealtimes in the UK, Europe and Australia.
The concept encompasses my experience, knowledge and successes from more than three and a half decades of founding successful businesses in the hospitality and retail industries.
Originally from South Africa, I have made both the UK and Australia my home. Outside work, I’m happiest discovering new places, cultures and flavours.

Freya & Finn Go to Paris has been a real inspiration to us and has got the kids off their phones and trying new things in the kitchen. It’s been great to have the time together trying out new experiences and thinking about the wider world.
